Dr. Della Valle is a professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He is not only a busy surgeon (having performed more than 11,000 hip and knee replacements) but a respected leader in the field of hip and knee research. He travels extensively sharing his research and these experiences allow him exposure to the most up to date information to maximize patient quality of care.

Dr. Della Valle has been operating at North Shore Surgical Suites since 2017 performing outpatient hip replacement, knee replacement, partial knee replacement and hip resurfacing at the center. The center is located at 8400 Lakeview Parkway in Pleasant Prairie WI. We have had such great feedback from our surgery center in Munster IN that we wanted an option for our patients who live north of the city of Chicago.
The surgery center in Pleasant Prairie, WI is a brand new, state of the art facility. There are several benefits to surgery at the center, however it is not right for everyone. For example patients who have extensive medical problems or who have had problems with pain control after surgery. Please ask us if this is an option for you.
The main advantage is a much more personalized experience at a small facility. Further, Dr. Della Valle has complete control over your experience here, including the use of the most up to date pain protocols. We have excellent anesthesia and nursing staff here who are all motivated to ensure an outstanding patient experience.
This is a 23-hour facility where patients can stay overnight with a private nurse who will be there just for you. We have found, however, that very few patients choose this option as they are comfortable and able to walk safely shortly after surgery.
