About Dr. Della Valle

Dr. Della Valle is a professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush University Medical Center. He is not only a busy surgeon (having performed more than 11,000 hip and knee replacements) but a respected leader in the field of hip and knee research. He travels extensively sharing his research and these experiences allow him exposure to the most up to date information to maximize patient quality of care.

Kim DeMarco, RN

Kim helped develop Dr. Della Valle’s practice from the time he started after fellowship in 2002. She was born and raised in Wisconsin, attended the University of Colorado (in Colorado Springs), where she achieved her BSN. Since her start at Rush, she has remained highly involved in providing fantastic patient care, volunteering in Operation Walk, where free surgical care is provided to developing countries. She traveled with Dr. Della Valle to Peru and educated hospital staff about orthopedic care. Over the years, she has co-authored chapters in orthopedic care in medical journals and even served as the President of NAON (National Association of Orthopedic Nurses). She truly enjoys and takes pride in her patient care and plays an integral role in all patients experience in Dr. Della Valle’s practice. She lives in the city with her husband and son, where she enjoys spending time outdoors exploring the city. She volunteers at her son’s school and tries to get back to Wisconsin when time permits to enjoy her team’s football and love for cheese!

Megan Moore, PA-C

Megan Moore, PA-C

Megan is a nationally certified Physician Assistant specializing in Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery. She received her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Michigan State University, and went on to earn her Master of Science in Medicine from Western Michigan University. She is also a member of the Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS) and the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Megan joined Dr. Della Valle’s practice in the beginning of 2023, where she is proud to be part of a great team focused on providing optimal care and improving the quality of life for every patient. As a PA-C, Megan treats patients in the clinic as well as assists in surgery, allowing her to provide exceptional continuity of care. Originally from Michigan, Megan recently relocated to Chicago with her fiancé and two Siberian huskies. She enjoys staying active with cycling and running with her dogs on the Lakefront Trail.

Courtney is Dr. Della Valle’s lead administrative assistant. She was hired by Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in 2012, joining Dr. Della Valle’s practice in early 2014. Courtney is an invaluable member of the team and a part of every patient’s surgical journey. In addition to coordinating your surgical required appointments, she assists in clinic with ordering additional tests, work-related paperwork, medical record requests, insurance inquiries and more. Courtney’s organizational skills, attention to detail and overall wealth of knowledge are what keeps the practice running smoothly. Courtney grew up in Wakesha, Wisconsin and moved to Chicago in 2010. She completed an internship at the Rehab Institute of Chicago following Massage Therapy school at the Soma Institute in Chicago. She is married and a mom of three!

Anne started at Midwest Orthopaedics in 2005 and transitioned to Dr. Della Valle’s practice in 2008. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, where she was born and raised. Moved to Chicago in 2005 and completed her Bachelor of Arts at University of Illinois at Chicago. She will graduate in May ’22 from Rush University with a Master’s in Clinical Research, an area of special interest since joining Dr. Della Valle’s team. Anne manages the entire Adult Reconstruction section’s research, assisting in mentoring two medical students annually while working with our Fellows, Residents, administrative and clinical support staff, as well as the other surgeons at MOR. In addition to managing research, she serves on internal orthopedic committees, using her years of experience to enhance our section in research, patient reported outcomes and compliance.
